Android: what’s the current status?
We’re only months away from the first Android handsets, but what do we really know? Here’s a summary for those of you interested in a quick status report.
Bites [Application]
Bites is an organiser for cooks. The key feature of Bites is the creation of relationships between ingredients used in recipes and ingredients kept in inventory, allowing automatic generation of a shopping list based on planned meals and items that are low in stock.
Boom [Game]
Boom is a spin off of the classic arcade game Missile Command. The object is to defend your base (located in the bottom-center of the screen) from a slew of incoming enemy missiles.
Puluwai [Application]
Puluwai allows you to search real estate property listings near you or a location of your choosing.
No delay: Android-powered phones to arrive in 2008
Google denies that the first Android phones will be delayed. The rumour probably originated because Googe’s partner Wind River Systems will not offer devices earlier than Spring 2009.
