Sony Ericsson, ASUS and Garmin are among the new members that have joined Google’s Open Handset Alliance. Joining founding members T-Mobile, Telefonica, Motorola, Samsung (and others) are ARM, ASUS, AKM Semiconductor, Atheros, Borqs, Ericsson, Garmin, Huawei Technologies, Omron Software, Softbank, Sony Ericsson, Teleca AB, Toshiba, and Vodafone. But there are still a couple of big players missing in the list: Nokia, AT&T, Microsoft, RIM, Verizon and Palm, among others. Sony Ericsson has expressed plans to develop an Android based device, but for most of the new members it remains unclear what they’re up to.
Will the Garmin Nuvifone for example, run on Android?
