Second Android Phone ‘Agora’ comes to Australia

Kogan AgoraThe world’s second Google Phone, based on the Android platform, will launch at the end of January. It will be manufactured by Australian based Kogan, and is going to be available in two models: the Agora (around $225) and Agora Pro ($295). Both models are simlock free and are available for preorder on Kogan’s website. The phones will work with any GSM simcard.

The Kogan Agora is equipped with 256MB of memory, expandable with a microSD card. Both come with 3G and Bluetooth connectivity, as well as a FM radio, have a talk time of up to 400 minutes and a standby time of 300 hours. There’s an mini-USB connection for charging and connecting to a PC.

The Agora Pro is a more powerful phone, with a 2.5 inch touchscreen and a built-in QWERTY keyboard. It also has GPS, Wi-Fi and a camera. Kogan was founded two years ago by Ruslan Kogan. The company sells video cameras, LCD TVs, and Blu-ray players, mostly manufactured in China.
