Tomorrow is the big announcement for the HTC Dream, but HTC is not the only handset manufacturer trying to capitalize on the Android craze. Boy Genius has a couple of pictures of the KC910 (aka LG Renoir), which boasts an 8 megapixel camera in 14 mm frame, along with smile and blink detection, digital image stabilisation and more. But more interesting are rumours that the LG KC910 will run on Android, even if the pics seem to show the normal LG proprietary operating system.
The OS could be just an interim version before the real Android OS gets loaded on the phone. the LG KC910 will also be one of the first phones to use the new Dolby software for mobiles to improve the audio experience for users. Compared to the LG Viewty this new phone offers boosted HSDPA (up till 7.2 mbps), GPS with geotagging and Wi-Fi. The KC910 also packs XviD, which should look pretty amazing on the WQVGA 3.2 inch screen. The LG KC910 is expected in October this year. We’re not sure if it will also make it to Europe. But the chances are pretty high, considering the success of the Viewty in European countries.
