T-Mobile will sell HTC’s Android Phone in the UK

By Google Phone Guru | Sep 16, 2008

HTC DreamT-Mobile is planning to sell HTC’s Android phone as the first Google phone in the UK. Today, Google showed off the Android OS on a phone that looked suspiciously like the HTC Dream, but which had the branding removed. T-Mobile will be ahead of the competition in offering Android phones on the market.

Interesting though, is the fact that T-Mobile is also the exclusive carrier for the Apple iPhone in Germany and The Netherlands. Google is one of the few brands that can offer true competition to Apple – with a collection of software and services that is already adapted to the portable market.

According to sources from Reuters, T-Mobile and Google will also make an announcement later this month in New York City.
