Geeks and developers *do* have a sense of humor. The Google Android SDK has a section devoted to the accelerometer and makes references to gravitational constants for the earth and other planets, in case you want to use your gPhone on Mars for example. But the SDK developers didn’t stop there: they also provide gravitational constants for the Star Wars Death Star (float GRAVITY_DEATH_STAR_I 3.5303614E-7) and what looks like a reference to the ABC LOST show (float GRAVITY_THE_ISLAND 4.815162).
The Hello Android blog found these and other Easter Eggs in Android SDK 0.9.
